ABOUT YULIYA GWILYM

Yuliya Gwilym is an artist, illustrator and author with a strong focus on storytelling. Born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine she moved to the Netherlands to study at the Royal Academy of Art. This is where she still calls home.

In her practice Yuliya combines many different materials from kids crayons, to collage, to printmaking techniques. Narrative and personal in nature her work seeks to capture the magic and nostalgia around the theme of childhood, inspired by the everyday life with her young children.
Yuliya’s books have been published in Ukraine, South Korea, Japan, China, UK and Belgium.
