Rise.Raise.Riso began with a conversation between illustrators Eva Eland and Melissa Castrillon in April 2024. It has now grown into a group of illustrators who want to raise both awareness and funds for organisations and individuals doing vital work to support and stand in solidarity with persecuted and vulnerable people around the world.
After nearly two years at the hands of horrifying violence, Palestinians are now being pushed to the verge of death from starvation. Since the aid blockade began on 2 March 2025, 57 children have reportedly died from the effects of malnutrition, according to the Ministry of Health. If the situation persists, nearly 71,000 children under the age of five are expected to be acutely malnourished over the next 11 months. (United Nations)
Last year we raised £10.000 for Medical Aid Palestine. Our second fundraiser is dedicated to three different on the ground organizations : Al-Jawad, Gaza Little Lights, and Grassroots Gaza which are all Palestinian led initiatives that focus on supporting children and families in Gaza with direct aid.
Al-Jawad - Al Jawad School for displaced children in Gaza strip, a tent where children in the camp can have meaningful daytime activities, while receiving emotional support from psychologist, learn languages, maths, kindness, be taught essential skills such as hygiene to increase their survival chances in these times of diseases and epidemics.
Gaza Little Lights - Support for Critical Cases of Malnutrition. This campaign provides long term support to between 30 - 50 malnourished infants monthly in North and South Gaza.
Grassroots Gaza - is a Palestinian-led initiative committed to supporting Gazan communities on the ground and those who fled into Egypt with direct mutual aid. At this moment they are running vegetable distribution, water distribution and bread distribution campaigns.

We have Riso prints and digital downloadable prints available. Riso prints are made with a Risograph printer. It looks like a photocopier, but works as a screenprinter, using rich spot colours and stencils to create tactile and vibrant prints, affordably and with little impact to our environment.
All Riso prints are printed by Eva Eland in her studio in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
100% of the profits of every sale will go to the organisations mentioned above. The only thing we take off is P&P for our Riso print sales. Help us reach our goal of raising as much as we can and support these vital organisations.
Thank you!
